Er wurde 1936 von den Nazis erbaut, im April 1945 startete von dort zum Beispiel noch das Strahltriebwerk-Flugzeug Me 262. Nach dem zweiten Weltkrieg wurde der Flugplatz von der Roten Armee \u00fcbernommen und sukzessive weiter ausgebaut. Bis 1991 war dort die sowjetische 126. Jagdfliegerdivision stationiert. Zu DDR-Zeiten sollen\u00a0in der angegliederten Milit\u00e4rstadt bis zu 10.000 Menschen gelebt haben. 1991 sind nach der Wiedervereinigung die sowjetischen Truppen abgezogen und das Gel\u00e4nde verfiel.<br \/>\nDie Bilder sind im Rahmen einer Geocache-Session am 15.05.2010 entstanden.<br \/>\n2011 wurde ein Drittel der Fl\u00e4che in einen Solarpark umgewandelt.
