Der wirkliche Name und die Geschichte der ehemaligen Burg ist nicht bekannt. Bei Ausgrabungen gefundene Artefakte lie\u00dfen sich auf das 10. und 11. Jahrhundert zur\u00fcckdatieren. Vermutlich handelte es sich um eine H\u00f6henburg zur Sicherung des wichtigen Passes. Die von einer starken Ringmauer umgebene Hauptburg hatte einen ovalen Grundriss von 27 bzw. 35 Meter Durchmesser. Bergseitig schlie\u00dft sich die, durch einen Graben getrennte, Vorburg an. Dort wird ein noch nicht ausgegrabener Turm im Waldboden vermutet.<\/p>\n<p>Die ausgegrabenen Mauerreste wurden alle gesichert.
