Jahrhunderts. Dort lie\u00dfen sich schon vor 150 Jahren Menschen mitten im Teutoburger Wald bestatten. Heute nennt man so einen Begr\u00e4bnisplatz Friedwald.<br \/>\nZahlreiche Grabmale und Skulpturen sind heute noch erhalten, nur deren Inschriften lassen sich leider meist nicht mehr sicher lesen. Ein gro\u00dfes Tor mit Treppe ist ebenfalls noch zu sehen. Lange wurde das kleine Geb\u00e4ude, das neben den Grabst\u00e4tten steht, f\u00fcr eine Kapelle gehalten. Es ist aber tats\u00e4chlich ein Pavillon, der heute wie damals zum Verweilen bei einem Friedhofsbesuch einlud. Die meisten Grabm\u00e4ler sind schon stark verwittert oder wurden durch Vandalismus besch\u00e4digt.
